An ant nest is presented with two or three samples of food prepared by various cooks. Each sample is positioned on a scale which tracks the total weight of ants attacking that food.
A weight and time calculation produce a raw rating number.
Some standard samples of sugar and oil are used to calibrate
the process.
Other lures are used to ensure the ants have a ant trail across the scale at the time the sample is put down, so that the random process of finding the sample is removed from the situation.
Questions needing answers before we can begin:
Type of scale and size of sample? Sample modification (Thinning a sticky sauce) policy to prevent ants from becoming trapped and skewing the results.
What kind of ants? How often can you test? Will the cooks need to come to the ants or can samples be flown in? (Taking ants to cooks will likely break health laws.) Will a publication use the results? When can a public offering be made? Do people and ants have similar compatible tastes?

For the marketing department; Will there be a My Ant Collender? |

As long as they are Protestants. |

I think you would need to regulate the species of ants,
because the standard body weights of giants and
elephants would give an unfair advantage...plus you
would get footprints in the sauce. |
