I guess I am a little weary of the ancestry.com furor. I am not sentimental enough. But I would like my kids to be 'fruitful and multiply'. and choose paths I imagine for them. ha!

At this website, anyone can input their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and beyond. You choose names and fake documents about the generations to come. Other site members can add to your lineage but not change yours. It appears like the genealogy in Ancestry.com

I saw that progenie is Olde English spelling, and further that Progeny.com is a Linux training program or something.

So, it's like "The Sims", only with a slightly longer time frame?

Maybe the character attributes of your progeny could be seeded from a dump of your DNA.

hah! good idea Jutta. Does sim family have a genealogy feature? I've added that it looks like genealogy in Ancestry.com, sorry if I confused everyone.

I think we have enough internet users dumping their DNA while surfing it is, [jutta].
