The game board is an electronic board onto which you can place the game blocks in an array of locking slots.
The game blocks are all identical in shape and color - there is nothing to visually distinguish them. Each block emits a unique code when it is placed into a board slot.
The player initializes
the board with the "Pick a tune" button, and the timer starts. The player must place blocks on the board and push the "play tune" button. The codes emitted by the blocks tell the board to play the nth section of a well-known (or not-so-well-known...) melody. The object is to get the blocks in the correct order to complete the melody correctly. The timer will stop if the tune is correctly arranged, and the whole song will play for your victory celebration and listening pleasure. If the timer runs out, the blocks are ejected from the board rudely and the famous descending wah-wah-wah-waaaah tune augments your dismay.
To increase the life of the game, there should be a "rearrange codes" function of the game so that a block's n-value cannot be visually identified by wear and tear marks.

If you change the name to 'music bLox,' a hand crank and 'Pop-Goes-the-Weasel' opening action could naturally follow. |
