Munchkins for Meteors

Ooooh...Pretty!

Seems a waste to throw away all those uneaten Munchkins at the end of the day... there's gotta be something more useful for them.

Why not gather up all the stale Munchkins from shops all around the US and fill up a cargo pod to go up on a satellite launching rocket. Once the rocket reaches the correct altitude, it can deploy the Munchkin pod in a slow decaying orbit. Once over the US, the pod explodes, creating a beautiful shower of Munchkin meteors.

On the plus side, it'd be a great advertising push for Dunkin Donuts. ("Tonight's meteor shower is brought to you by: Dunkin Donuts! Now kids, don't forget to tell Mommy and Daddy to pick up a dozen on the way home from church on sunday.")

On the minus side? Well, there are hungry people in the world, but hey, meteors are cool..

As they incinerate, wouldn't that make a lot of black holes?
FarmerJohn, Oct 14 2002

Only the chocolate ones.. Powdered sugar ones are 100% certified not to create black holes..
Mr Burns, Oct 14 2002

I'm absolutely staggered that no-one in the land of obesity and free enterprise has thought to market munchkins as Donut Lites.
egbert, Oct 14 2002

I only seen the term Munchkin used for characters in "The Wizard of Oz" and as a derogatory term teenage role-players.
Aristotle, Oct 14 2002

Maybe with any luck, the different Munchkin ingredients will give us different colored meteors..
Mr Burns, Oct 14 2002

I think [thc] had a touch of the munchies when this idea appeared to him. But I do like it. Even if you got blumped in the head with one it wouldn't hurt too much, and you could just pop it in your mouth and eat it, can't say that about real meteors now can ya?
blissmiss, Oct 14 2002

I had just left a dunkin donuts after seeing the owner dump tray after tray of day old munchkins into the trash. But why was I at dunkin donuts? Oh yeah, the munchies...
Mr Burns, Oct 14 2002

Everday I ask myself that very same question..."What is the meaning of life, and why am I at DD again.". They seem to be related.

It's all for the coffee, I swear
Mr Burns, Oct 14 2002

Munchkins for meteors reminded me of the Little Prince.

<sorry to rain on the parade> donut holes wouldn't be big enough to see burning up on atmosphere </strotp>
madradish, Oct 15 2002

Actually, the average meteor size is between a grain of sand and a marble. Larger meteors that create "fireballs" are as big around as your fist. Heads up!!
Mr Burns, Oct 15 2002

I wish there was a meteor shower above my head right about now. With the special Halloween munchkies.
blissmiss, Oct 15 2002

Yeah, us Americans will buy anything if it's marketed correctly...

I've never met a Munchkin that was old enough to have gone stale.

[XX] That cat. Where's it's legs?
blissmiss, Oct 15 2002

       Strap *this* to your cat..
Mr Burns, Oct 15 2002

Those legs must've gotten mutated right outta the species. Looks weird, I think.

       Custard Munchkins.

I always assumed that doughnuts were made my bending a cylinder of dough into a circle shape ... hence the roundness and the un-cut bit in the middle ...

I'm absolutely staggered anyone even gives a flying fuck what someone elses weight is. It's not your problem. I'm afraid to walk in the hallways of my own school because of the dense crowded conditions. Most of the time or when I'm really concentrating not to bump into everybody I won't pay attention to where I'm looking. I usually get the evil eye.

If I could just shoot every bastard who ever gave me that look...
EvilPickels, Dec 02 2005

Well EvilPickels, thats...incredibly violent...good luck with that.

       ????

Im usa'ian and Ive never heard of "Munchkins" aside from the sort found in Oz.
DesertFox, Dec 12 2005

But I like stale donut holes, don't you? Honestly, I've never heard them being called munchkins either.
Sparty, Dec 12 2005

Guys... Dunkin Donuts sells "Munchkins"! How could you have missed these?
