Spousal abuse or the non-PC term 'wife beating' is a major problem in most countries. We've come a long way to giving women more protection and encouraging legal authorities to take the problem seriously. However, I feel there is more that could be done in parallel with these legal measures to give violent
partners an alternative outlet for their physical abuse.
If a system could be developed to cheaply produce robust punchbags with the physical appearance of specific people, much abuse could be channelled away from the real spouse.
"Mrs Punchbag" should possess the following qualities:
1. robust construction
2. physical appearance easily modified to match specific individual
3. ability to emit noises matching those of the wife, in order to give the agressive male the same audio feedback
4. computerized logging of severity and frequency of attacks that could be used in court later as indication of the violent spouse's leanings
5. cheap enough that rednecks or social services could afford it.

do you really think my ex-husband (may he rest in peace) - and don't forget that some husbands are bullied and beaten too - would opt to choose this toy instead of the flesh and blood real version? |

Looking at the link provided by [PiledHigherandDeeper] I think the wife should get the Slam Man for some toning up. |

Of course the better solution would be to get those two apart for good. I have met more than a few wives who stayed because they were scared of the wild world out there without a job. The proof that both spouses can take care of themselves independently should be required before a marriage licence is issued. |

Thank you Bliss, I couldn't have said it better myself. |

[kbecker] I agree totally. Pre-marriage testing. |
