For motorway roundabouts in the UK, there are definitely times of the day when actually getting onto the roundabout is a challenge in itself. The Motorway Roundabout Waltzer is for use at such peak times. The central roundabout Island is placed on a rotating base, extending (at peak times)
are arms with cark park-type double slots for a car to pull into. Once driven into, sensors indicate a car is present and these slots swivel (Waltzer style) on the arm making your car now face the correct direction, ready for your quick and easy departure. Empty slots become available as cars depart, cutting out the convoy-style problem you get when one flow of traffic excludes one or two other lanes from accessing the roundabout at any one point in time v2 will contain the rising and falling arm option and a pre-selection exit so that if you are going to exit 5 (in relation to your entry point) you can rise, swivel, and fall before your exit should you so desire!

Bah, my drawings are chronically bad, I struggle to do Stick-men at best, however, if you can wait until I have journeyed home later I will do my best to scribble something up... don't expect a masterpiece though! |

I have added a piccy of sorts.... You will have to suspend your disbelief and appreciate that the red things are the waltzer arms, the grey circle in the middle is the rotating base, and the yellow circles are the car platforms which rotate on the mechanical arms. I haven't added any cars as.... well.... I think you know how it would have ended up...... *Disclaimer*... no crayons were harmed in the making of this picture, and any representation that this picture bears to anything at all is pure luck. still... I had fun doodling! |

The louder you scream the faster the tattooed attendants spins your slot. Your sketch could include multicoloured flashing lights, a garish paint job, a powerful sound system and a loudmouthed DJ. = [+] |
