Motorcycle exhaust branding iron

No more ugly muffler burn scars

Anyone who’s ever ridden a motorcycle while wearing shorts knows that accidentally burning yourself on the exhaust pipe is surprisingly easy to do. Not only is it excruciatingly painful, it leaves an ugly inelegant burn scar on the inside of your leg.

Imagine a mirrored-image Harley Davidson logo made out of metal. Attach this metal logo to the part of the exhaust pipe someone is most likely to burn himself or herself. Now, when the inevitable muffler burn does happen, you are left with a cool-looking Harley Davidson logo burn scar instead of the ugly inelegant one.

This would be just the thing for custom chopper places with cool-looking logos like Jesse James' West Coast Choppers or the Teutuls' Orange County Choppers [links]. You might even find some devout fans branding themselves on purpose.

For the fan with a lower tolerance to pain, you could create riding gloves with the logos cut out of the backs. A few hours of riding in the sun, and you'd have the logo suntanned into the back of your hand.

I like the idea, but anybody who's ever ridden a motorcycle while wearing shorts is a fool. Granted, there is no intelligence test required to ride a motorcycle.

But I don't want to bear somebody elses logo. Perhaps some Shaolin artwork?

How about the mirrored writing: "I got this from my Harley" ?
