Take a locomotive, put huge wheels on it and raise it 15 or 20 feet up. Then have the locomotive compete with other locomoties on a train track figure 8 circuit.
Resulting collisions would make this the show to watch. Trains would be sent tumbling end over end possibly into crowds of horrified
spectators.

Take this a step further - other regular height trains on the course are narrower, with normal wheels, and use a track set just inside the inside and outside rails of the "monster" track. They can whiz by each other vertically! |

Spectators would have to be protected somehow. The final show would be a train jump. The arena would be placed at the end of a long straight downhill track. 3 or 4 miles. The loco's would get as much speed as possible and then hit a ramp in order to clear wrecked train cars. |

Sounds like a steam engine convention. With explosions. |
|
|
You're aware of what steam explosions do to you, right? You do *not* want to die like Casey Jones, and I imagine the fee-paying public will be averse, too. Of course, if you used electric locos, I guess you would cut out the risk of explosions. |

But who wouldnt like to see a good train wreck every now and then? |

I do often wonder why nobody created a steam-powered robot for BattleBots. |

//I do often wonder why nobody created a steam-powered robot for BattleBots// Probably because of the safety rules. |

Who said anything about steam engines? I guess you could have a classic train race. |

There would be a bunch of locos at the loco show. |
