During the days of large dial telephones, it was dramatic to click the receiver a few times, yelling Hello! Hello! Weve been cut off! But with a cell phone, if you think the connection is gone, you wander in various directions saying, Hello, followed by several lines of Have you the ability
to now perceive me audibly? Id prefer the frantic clatter of the past:
Mobile phones with a motion switch, and a satisfying click like a can of spray paint.
Hello? *clickity-clickity-clack* Are you there! (frozen look of impending doom as I slowly close the phone).
