I am planning a trip for Me, Mr Babyhawk, and Baby babyhawk to Oklahoma City around the middle of Sept. I do not know where abouts any other halfbakers may be, but I would love it if anyone could make it! I have missed every other Half-con that has been planned, and feel left out. So I am planning one myself. I would love to meet anyone, and everyone that can make it. Oklahoma City is big and pretty. (and has an international airport, heeheehee) So please come if you can. The date is not set yet, but it has to be a weekend so that both me and Mr hawk are off work. So, anyone that would like to come, let me know which weekend in Sept. is best and we will try and see how many 'bakers we can get together.

Oklahoma City, Oh so pretty. & Gallup, New Mexico. Flagstaff, Arizona ....... It'd be too much of a bit of a drive so don't fear that I'll ruin your con.

Last time I planned to make it to O.K. City, I was robbed in St. Louis & freaked. Me & Mine took the direct route home after that.

unfortunately [zimmy] that is what happens when you go through Missouri. :)
babyhawk, Aug 22 2005

Sounds like you had a Missouriable time.

I'm going to be in Dallas at the end of September... I might be able to arrange something...
Jinbish, Aug 23 2005

[jinbish], that would be awesome. I am not sure when I am making the trip, so it will be the weekend when the most of us can make it, so what weekend would you be able to do? When will you be in dallas?

[I'd recommend using email and getting phone numbers at some point, just to make it work]

I talked to [letsbuildafort] who has not been on in a while due to lack of computer access, I believe. He is going to try and be there. I am not sure if anyone cares, but I thought I would post it. [o-c] nice suggestion, considering what happened at the seattle half-con. Poor guys. At least they all still enjoyed their trips.
babyhawk, Aug 24 2005

well, due to some unexpected events I will not be able to afford the trip to OKC in Sept. I will probably make one in Oct, though. So anyone that is ok with changing the date to Oct, or if that makes anyone else available to go, let me know.

Why do we need to do this when [madradish] took the time to do a world, US, and Brit map? Just curious.
blissmiss, Aug 27 2005

Oops, I somehow got listed twice, and with Long/Lat in the wrong format. Mea Culpa!
csea, Aug 27 2005

Why do we need to do what, [bliss], set up and coordinate halfcons? My wife wonders the same thing.
Worldgineer, Aug 27 2005

       The google map World?

I personally would rather eat slugs, as opposed to posting my exact location on a public site. Just me. (Stalking 101).
blissmiss, Aug 27 2005

Most of us have been posting coords of just our city. It's only a new toy to play with, a little more fun than the other one. Have you tried it yet?
Worldgineer, Aug 27 2005

Uh waugs, remember? For the last month, or so. (I would actually venture a guess that I found it on my desktop even before that. It was almost down a duck's throat, at the pond we frequent.)
blissmiss, Aug 27 2005

Oh yes, I think I remember you showing us the pond. Clearly I'm up too late. Signing off...
Worldgineer, Aug 27 2005

no idea how to use neilp's list but does that surprise you? perhaps some kind patient person...
po, Aug 27 2005

[po]: Start Google Earth, then select <file> - <open>, then navigate to where you saved neilp's kmz.kml file.
angel, Aug 27 2005

thanks angel. not sure what I'm doing wrong but I do have a list of sorts; UnaBubba is in California and I am in Canada.

scrub that! I think I have it working now but teatotal is definitely on the Indian sub-continent, she mentioned a trip...

       thanks again angel.
