Induction recharging is nothing new, but to harness the high-energy output of a microwave oven to recharge a Li-Ion or nicad battery might be a bit challenging. I'm envisioning a Faraday cage-like microwire structure built into the plastic of the cell phone casing to absorb microwaves, thus protecting the delicate internals. Hook the wires up to a capacitor, maybe? Capacitor charges the battery. Just imagine arriving home and popping your cellphone in the microwave for 5 minutes and having it emerge slightly warm and fully charged.

Somebody should try this someday. Maybe it could be a new game. I see something like 'pop goes the cell phone.' first phone to explode loses.
