Microwave spectrometer

Analyses your food as it cooks.

Caution: Might not be possible using todays technology, if possible might require equipment the size of your house...

That aside the idea is to set up a microwave oven but have it emmit on not just useful heating wavelengths but also others. It may even bounce some other kinds of radiation (as in radar and not as in gamma) around if it would help. Around the oven walls there is a spread of detectors.

The device is connected to a computer of massive power, which works out the shape, size and composition of your food. It then a) adjusts power, cooking time and concentrations of microwaves so that all of your food is perfectly cooked. And b) Tells you how good for you the food is and makes helpful recipe sugestions.

Nice idea - as long it still goes "ping" when its finished - that's the most important thing.

Just found the thermo wave thing myself phoenix, and was about to link. The diference is that this decides where the heat is going to go before the outside is already cooked. A thermo thingy might be useful to make sure it got its calculations right though.
