My work place is introducing hot desking, which is all well and good apart from the 25 minutes+ you spend each day adjusting the chair so that you are comfortable, as you never seem to get the same chair two days running.
I propose a chair that would recognise you from the magnetic strip or RFID
tag in your pass for the building and set itself to the position that you last had it in. It would do this in a similar manner to those car seats that alter for each 'memorised' driver.
The chairs would have to be recharged from time to time but that could be done in a central area that also stores your lockable desk pedestal.

sortof baked. Mercedes and other
cars adjust the seat depending on
who's key has opened the driver's
door. |

[timbeau] That's what inspired me. Extending the car idea into office chairs with all their different movement possibilities. |

If hotdesking, this does sound useful, and probably not much more expensive than some existing top end chairs. |
