Why not allow people to own and speculate on the popularity of numbers as measured by a sydtem like google? You could even allow companies to sponsor numbers. "Pi by Verizon", etc.

       I'll buy shares in "1". According to Benford's law, it is by far the commonest digit found at the start of numbers in most real-world collections of numbers.   

       Oddly, though, if you do a Google for any single digit, it gives the same answer: "About 25,270,000,000 hits".   

       This is strange, because other people must have noticed and recorded this phenomenon, which should make "0" more common than the others.
