We need a better source of fuel for our society. I suggest railroads growing massive marijuana fields and burning the dope in steam locomotives as fuel.
It would be carbon neutral as the carbon released into the atmosphere by the burning weed would get re-absorbed into the next crop. It would also
be awesome for everyone on the train (like maybe politicians) who would mellow out and stop fighting and starting wars and the like. Pizza stands would spring up at all the terminals and do a thriving buisiness. The occational hippie might get run over, but maybe there could be shiny things along the tracks so they will stay off to the sides.

I like the embedded hippie deterrent concept. |

You could be on to something there, as there are non-narcotic hemps available, and they can be grown legally in many countries. The only thing which I'm not sure about is whether it would be an improvement over other alternative fuels. Are you suggesting running it on dry biomass or some form of derivative product? |

Henry Ford used hemp for some prototype engines, and apparently it burns quite well. See [link] about 'hemp car' which runs on hemp-derived fuel. |

[vvv], I don't think a non-narcotic fuel is what the people want, man. |
