Marmite too strong ? Marmalade too wussy ? Introducing Marmalite, a new subtler, easily spreadable marmite variation.

Sorry for seemingly random "I thought idea would be..." http://www.zzap64.c...zap43/armalyte.html

       Sounds marmalicious!
dobtabulous, Dec 22 2003

I thought this was going to be a low salt, healthier alternative to standard Marmite. Good name though [neilp], just a tad unsure about the idea.
jonthegeologist, Dec 22 2003

Careful now [neilp]. Messing with Marmite is tantamount to sacriledge...
hazel, Dec 22 2003

I thought this would be a Marmite gun...
suctionpad, Dec 22 2003

I have to agree with hazel, although the spreadability of Marmite could do with being improved.
DrBob, Dec 22 2003

Now it's time to spread Marmite
Marmite, lid tight
Ow, the Marmite lid is tight
Marmite, lid tight
Cream yeast creams for me
Cream yeast creams for you.

Choose your jar and I'll choose mine
Marmite, lid tight
Now the spread begins to shine
Marmite, lid tight
Cream yeast creams for me
Cream yeast creams for you.
thumbwax, Dec 22 2003

thanks [thumbwax].. erm, what's the tune ? can you sing it for us ?

So is this marmite with orange bits?
k_sra, Dec 22 2003

[k_sra] so difficult to tell.... if it is, that's bleedin' 'orrible and is worth of all the world's fishbones.
jonthegeologist, Dec 22 2003

       Oh, you're just jealous. ; )
k_sra, Dec 22 2003

jealous of younger bro [neilp]? pa!
jonthegeologist, Dec 22 2003

I thought this was going to be a spaceship based shoot-em-up game that involved speciaol weapons preserves and chutneys.
Jinbish, Dec 22 2003

I regret that I have but one fishbone to give.
-alx, Dec 22 2003

I was given a mission by a work colleague to find "Marmalite" on the internet. You did not disappoint. Sir, I salute you.

Just wondering, my brother is soon to move to Australia. Would this apply to vegemite as well? Or would that create "Vegamalite", which would surely be an unholy creation to be feared by all...
Tremadog, Aug 20 2004

why thank you [Tremadog], glad to be of service.

As a brother, and one who is currently residing in Sydney, I would advise any other brother to bring supplies of Marmalite with him.
It's worth noting though, that *mites in general are more fluid here than in the UK.
neilp, Aug 22 2004

25% fewer calories than regular marma.

most USers never heard of marmite.
dentworth, Aug 23 2004

[denworth] apologies.. knowing Marmite doesn't actually add much to the experience
neilp, Aug 23 2004

Blasphemous heretic! Take your evil elsewhere!
harderthanjesus, Aug 23 2004

actually pre-mixed tin of butter and marmite (with marmite in a small concentration) might make this idea almost practical.
k_sra, Aug 24 2004

       Now there's a good idea.
