Since the HB is, if not my second family, at least my distant
clan of relatives who never come to Christmas dinner but
get
talked about in hushed tones, I just wanted to claim
bragging
rights on the fact that my daughter, MaxwellBuchanan Jr.,
has just got in to Cambridge to read physics.
Having
thus bragged, I'll delete this fairly soon, so please
don't write anything the deletion of which would be a loss
to
mankind.

I have a seven year old daughter who is also smart so I have a little insight in the pure and utter hell you must have gone through raising her. It explains a lot. |

has a history, rather than being a collection of
shacks thrown up by second-generation
colonials so they could have somewhere out of
the wind to smoke, and more importantly the
qualifications from Cambridge actually mean
something. |

Yes, both institutions have noted academics;
but Cambridge has the likes of Stephen
Hawking who employs his intellect to probe
the mysteries of the cosmos, whereas
Harvard's advanced syllabus tends towards
flint-knapping, making fire, and the knowledge
and use of edged tools. |
