Car Word Magnets called for magnetic bumper stickers, which is a great idea. I couldn't find a category that seemed right for this, but bumper stickers seemed like the closest fit. This idea is NOT for a bumper sticker.
This idea is for a set of those 3D chrome letters found on the back of almost
every vehicle produced in the USA (can't speak for other countries). You know, the ones that display the manufacturer and vehicle model, like "Honda Odyssey LX" etc? Well they sell tons of such kits online and at every auto parts store I've been to, but ALL the ones I've found are adhesive.
I think it'd be really cool to have a set of magnetic ones so you can change them up whenever you want. I thought about the risk of theft, but I think that's minimal because nobody would know or expect them to be magnetic. The biggest risk is losing them in an automatic car wash, so you'd just have to get used to washing your car by hand, or removing the magnets before entering. The good thing is they'd just stick right back on afterward without loss of adhesion.

I think it more be about the Fawlty Towers phenomenon. |

Everyone would be driving around in Flowery Twats and then nobody is seeing your "brand". |

Why worry about sticking them on cars when you have fridge doors to decorate? [+] |
|
|
Just buy the adhesive ones and stick them to a sheet of thin cut-out-able magneticy stuff |

Ya know, I really can't believe these things don't exist. I thought for sure (was hoping, actually) that [a1] would come in clutch with a handy dandy link. |

...or it could be the flowery twat phenomenon. |
