Low Flow/Low Pressure Fire Suppression Sprinklers

A system comprised of parts that are very similar to but not exactly like existing products

To protect homes from wildfire, a sprinkler system that delivers a fine mist over a wide area, using as little water as possible.

Micro drip irrigation parts (tubing and tiny rotary sprayers) are perfect, expect for being made of thin plastic which would be readily demolished by fire unless they are actually in operation.

So, mini rotary sprinklers made of metal, compatible metal tubing, and all the ancillary parts (manifolds, connectors, valves...) that one would expect from such a system.

This strays dangerously close to something I might actually do, so please forgive me for posting it here, as I forgive myself.

Similar to the absorbent stuff in diapers. [neutrinos_shadow, May 31 2021]

Annotation:

Fighting large fires with just water doesn't work particularly well, unless you have huge amounts of water. Various "mud" type liquids are available, and aqueous gels work well too (see linky for a different use...). Unfortunately, such things don't work so well with narrow-bore piping and spray nozzles.
