It's been a while since we did one of these(though I'm not discounting the possibility that you've all been conspiring in secret) and I'd like to open bidding on when/where we might convene to say hello in person once again.
We can discuss all the options here, before finally settling on some default
time/location - perhaps Friday the Middlethish of November, at the good-old Marquess of Anglesey, Old London towne?

Great - I'll be publicising in other social places too - Fridays can be busy, so a Thurday might be an alternate option aswell. Assuming a Friday, candidate dates might be 16th or 23rd Nov. |
I'll see as to whether I can find a piggy back to traverse from the woods. |
I'm always up for another opportunity to scrounge beer from fellow bakers. |
I'd be interested to tag along, but I'm likely to be kayaking on the weekend of the 16th but should be free for the 23rd. Is this an evening event? If not, it would have to be Sat. or Sun. only for me. |
Who's got my airfare? Dern, I wanna go. |
OK, well closing down a couple of points of ambiguity then - let's say Friday 23rd November, from (possibly) 3pm (to cater for anyone who's able/keen to leave work early) up-until the last one goes home. Tablespace can be at a premium on a Friday night, so early bagsying isn't a bad idea. |
It'd be great to see you all. Smiley Face. |
Hands up who knows what it is to "bagsy"? I'm willing
to bet that's quite a south-coast term... |
I suggest a plate with half a croissant on the table to show where to go. Possibly a lego one in case someone's peckish. |
I only finish at 5 on a Friday and then there's a 40min train and then fannying about on the tube. How long is it estimated that everyone is likely to be around for? |
I can't promise anything, but judging by previous performance, it's quite likely we'll still be there come kicking out time. |
Hic!
Ignore the FB message I will book the day off so I can be there for 3 p.m.
If it changes let me know as I can always have a 'Cheeky Friday' with agreement from the boss-man.
p.s. YAY! |
<raises hand on bagsy / bags I> |
[Gnome] Yay duly noted! I'm planning on booking off the Friday (afternoon) myself. |
Quick bump for this Friday! |
Hands Up! - Thangs have been a bit sticky recently but I have the day offdue to services rendered (about 27 hrs at the weekend! |

If you lot are dead set on meeting up in a
venue that makes the Mos Eisley cantina look
like a well-run kindergarten, then good luck
to you. |
[8th] where would you suggest? A sterile cube floating at one of the Lagrangian points might be a better call in terms of facilities and general organisation, but it's a bugger to get to from Southwark. |

I was keen but have a birthday to go to. Sorry chaps.
Have a Badger on me. |
Leave has been booked. I should be there early-ish so I can ponce as many drinks as possible off of gnomethang. |
I'm jealous. I'll be back in Blighty for Xmas. So close. |
Even I'm jealous - and I'm coming! |
We shall be with you in spirit (an 18 year old
Inner Hebridean Malt would seem
appropriate), if not in persons. |
I've never had an 18 year old Hebridean of any sort. Enjoy gang. |
Ah, you may try DrBurb but I intend to lift someone's wallet and then be as generous as I like.... |
[8th] Shall we go on Saturday? |
Black leather begloved hand shoots into the air. {Checks}Still Marquess of Anglesey? |
Nasty production issue at work - rapidly teflonning responsibility onto passers-by, should be there by 3! |
Tsk! Late for his own party... |
I am here, and on time I may add! No seats though, so
loitering by the bar... |
[edit] aha! Secured seatage... |
[edit 2] lost seatage again... |
[Zen], [DrBob] and I are now sitting down, with
beer |
I am sitting down preparing a liquidation step plan, feeling jealous. Please vigorously WHAT HO one another on my behalf. |
Now joined by [mitxela] and [dub] |
I count five bakers baking. |
[dub]'s talking enthusiastically about prime
numbers now |
Not only am I not there, I am also workingn tomorrow. Grr and my apologies. |
Just back. Drams sampled. Beer consumed. Members lost.
We were quorate, once more.
As usual, we covered all items of the agenda - and had an extended
AOB session, but the where items discussed are subject to NDA (No
Decision by Agreement). (Do cats learn to pounce, can octopuses
unscrew cross-threaded jar lids ... Do dogs believe in God?.) |
Thanks for the lift home +zt |
We know where you live, MUHWHAHAHAHAHAH ! |
[Blissy] I only took one or two (I'd forgotten I had a camera until after [hippo] left, sadly.) |
[edit], oh, and I was the recipient of the nutter, this year! |
I'm confused. I've never met any of these people. Why is my name being associated with this shower? |
To pre-emptively avoid confusion, can I make it clear that I did not share a shower with [DrBob] |
I must have totally missed the whole showering thing! Thanks to all for a v enjoyable evening - and a firm and welcome what ho to all those present or thinking of us. |
"what ho" back at you, ho. |
