I forget who actually came up with the name...I'll
donate
any buns your way.
Whilst doing something else*, I came up with an idea for
a
interactive display, possibly in the Imperial War Museum,
of the work of the London Nose during WWII.
Very few of the original brass nose cones are still
available, but it should be possible to show how the
network of noses triangulated the results of dogs trained
to
pick up the scent of sauerkraut from the bombers(in
pitch
darkness and up to 15,000ft) which so helped the night-
fighters. In this way, fighter command were able to
fight
back under the very noses of the enemy, if you see
what I mean.
Coming soon to whatever that channel on freeview that
just seems to re-run WWII on a loop tape.
*I'm trying to breed sheep with binocular vision, to cut
down on pub fights. The current situation of near 320-
340
degrees field of vision leads to far too many cases of "Are
ewe you looking at me?"
Yes, that is worse than 8th's pun of this day.

That would be either "The Hitler Channel" or "UK Nazi Gold" ... |

Not as bad as our favorite pun ever, though ... |

What, that one? I've heard worse...somewhere. Ok, guy
1 goes shopping, buys a new hat, walking home through
the park a gust of wind blows his hat off towards towards
guy 2 with a (male)dog. The dog catches the hat and
starts trying to eat it. Guy 1 runs up, retrieves mangled
hat from dog and remonstrates with guy 2, who doesn't
seem inclined to shell out of a new hat. Guy 1 says "I
don't like your attitude!" Guy 2 replies "it's not my hat he
chewed, it's your hat he chewed". |

Vernon - Damn, I hadn't noticed it was the Borg who
made the first mention, but a promise is a promise, I'll
send the bearer buns (if any) to that off-planet trust fund
as per usual. |
