Thousands of people undergo liposuction surgery every year, but short of turning all those extra pounds into soap (a la "Fight Club" or Silvio Berlusconi), it is all thrown away as biohazardous waste.
Similar to the "Roadkill Refinary" idea (see link), you could melt this fat down into a fuel usable
for diesel cars.
A mobile clinic in a van would come to your house, suck out your fat (possibly with the aid of engine vacuum lines) in a mobile opperating room, then render and filter the fat on its way to the filling station.
This fat would be rather heavy and probably burn rather poorly, probably stinking up the place, but it would get rid of unwanted waste and produce valuable fuel.

Peter Bethune on the liposuction table
http://www.solarnav...r.net/earthrace.htm "Mr Bethune said Mr Rees had to probe around a fair bit to get anything and the 100ml of fat extracted wasn't enough to yield fuel." So, that Wired article would be off by an order of magnitude then, and I'm not sure whether any of the fat actually hit the tank. [jutta, Apr 27 2006, last modified Jan 16 2007]

BBC News: 'Berlusconi's fat' moulded to art

Apparently, some 'artist' stole the fat from Prime Minister (of Italy) Silvio Berlusconi's liposuction and turned it into a bar of soap for an art exhibition. |
Gross, disgusting fun. Does getting lipo win you a fuel voucher? |
Now if I could fuel the Volvo with the fatty deposits from my arteries... |
This would be great here in America. Our cars are too inefficient at burning fuel and our bellies are too efficient at storing fuel. Now we can kill two birds with one stone. |

//Suck your fuel out of chubby people// |
Bypass the suction and just stuff chubby people into your fuel tank? Bad taste, sorry. |
Welcome back [UB], pull up a chair, have a donut. |
Bypass the fuel tank and just ride fat people around. |
Bypass the other people and just eat a lot and go places. |
Bypass the chubby people and the biodiesel and walk? Naah. Americans wouldn't go for that. |
Unless a Wendy burger stop was...naah |
Well, apparently someone has already
done this. A Wired Magazine article this
month shows the diesel powerboat that
Peter Bethune is trying to pilot around the
world on biodiesel, some of which came
from his backside. |

Eeew! Ouch! And congratulations! |
I live in America, But I have the opposite problem. |
Hey, be sensitive. Not everyone thinks living in America is automatically a problem. |
Have a bun and gag on it EEEW! |
Human flesh is rumoured to taste a little like pork, so a car running on this might smell pleasantly of frying bacon. |
Really? I've heard it's more like veal, but who knows except for a few cannibals. |
Either way, I think most of the smell goes away when you turn it into biodiesel. |
Would fat people be paid in cash like blood donors? That would finance additional foodstocks for consumption, which could be sold, and so on, a sort of cottage cheese indusrty. |
No, thin people would be paid in cash. You wouldn't pay them until you'd taken your money's worth. |
