This book is in the action adventure genre, and is written for books in the action/ adventure fiction genre, but could possibly be wirtten to assimilate other genres into it.

It is written in the second person narrative perspective, therefore narrating the actions of the very readers. The protagonists are readers living in an introverted world, that they interpret based on the ideas the books in the library give them.

Every chapter in the Library Book, ends with the protagonist looking for a particular book in the library, and each chapter provides the subtext for that particular book. The intention is the reader will then read that book, integrating that book into the Library Book's overall context.

For example the portagonist is paranoid that a certain system of surveillance, and discursive regime, is being used for social control. The book leads to 1984 by George Orwell. After reading that book, the story continues with a hightened sense of paranoia. Later chapters leads 'you' to a chapter of Foucault's History of Madness, and also to Stephen Dedalus problem with religious self-surveillance and discursve regime in Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man by James Joyce etc.

Sort of a tangent, but this idea would work better an e- format as long as the main idea that one text provides the subtext and impetus for reading other books in the library, and those books are integrated into the story's overall context.

Self-determinism would be a key theme, and was exactly what I was musing about - this would be a very heady book. The protagonist, you, who is struggling for self determinism is paranoid or driven mentally insane by social controls, and is trying to subvert the system, all the while your thoughs and actions are dictated by the book.

Data storage capabilities have grown to the point where it won't be much longer before a single eBook has enough storage capacity to hold every book in a decent-sized library (books, not music or videos). So, with that as a definition of a "library book", I kind-of like this Idea.

Book salesmen will love it. They will sell your book and one for each chapter. Maybe a dozen books at a shot.

Reminds me of "A Series of Unfortunate Events" series. The Baudelaire orphans were a marketing stroke of genius.

Have you an outline or found a ghost writer to crank it out for you?

The reader is actually instructed to write the book itself in the final chapter, which is the scary psychological thriller twist ending, confirming that reading the book has been a hallucination.
