Furtwangen quirkiness

It's a cuckoo clock upon the wall, whereas upon the hour a mechanical Les Dawson figure complete with jaw over upper lip pops its head through the doors accompanied by a random audible deadpan joke or malapropism.

"I came from a very poor family - up until the age of fifteen I thought knives and forks were jewellery."

Et cetera .....

At midday he comes out with a miniature piano and plays some Debussy, exquisitely dropping bum notes.

If Les Dawson appeared out of any clock near me, I'd throw a brick at it. Not my style of comedy - give me Reeves and Mortimer, Mighty Boosh, Eddie Izzard, and for cartoons - the fabulous Family Guy. Acceptable figures for clock: Ricky Gervais or any of the characters from League of Gentlemen. Brick throwing material - (mostly from UK): Ken Dodds (think of a cadaver accidentally coming into contact with mains electricity), Bernard Manning (racist, sexist, vile crap, and now deceased), Peter Kay (makes my flesh crawl), Seinfeld (over- rated, predictable, weak, and obvious, though in contrast Larry David is a triumph)
Most perfect for any clock - any character from the near perfect Father Ted - esp Father Jack: "Drink, Feck, Arse, Girls" - you need to see it to be a fan.

Family Guy can go back and rot in whatever stenchhole it was bred from.

He's Krusty the Klown by comparison with the Divine Les.
