Why on earth would you want that many gazelles anyway?

Sometimes lawns get problems. Grubs, blights, tenacious weeds or other invaders move in and cause big dead spots. You can reseed, or even resod, but the bad elements may still be present. Most lawn owners must resort to evil poisons.

The Lawnbake is a strip containing multiple 4 inch spikes, which is spread across a blighted area. Many Lawnbakes in series can be used to treat a larger area. When plugged in, the spikes heat the lawn to 50 C over a period of 2-3 hours and hold it there. Big nightcrawlers can move down into their deep tunnels to escape being baked. Smaller earthworms can migrate upwards and away from the treated area. However, most lawn grubs, beetles, etc are not so mobile, and they will be cooked. Weed seeds and fungi likewise cannot withstand prolonged heat of this sort. In essence you pasteurize your lawn.

When through, all remaining life in the area is dead - and ready to decompose into nutrients for the new grass seeds you sow into the patch.
