Yes, i like [+]. Could we all adopt names from the Iliad on that day? Could we also have Antichthonic birthdays and celebrate all the Lagrangian birthdays associated with the other planets in the solar system? What about satellites? |

To offer a contrarian point of view, my birthday falls on Christmas Eve and I've never longed for a Lagrange Point substitute. While many of my friends' midyear birthdays got overlooked or forgotten because family and friends were scattered, no one in my family ever forgets mine at the holiday gathering, and I usually got a better sort of gift because they rationalized that they were buying for both my birthday and Christmas events (and they were already out shopping anyway). |

I know someone whose birthday's the day after Boxing Day and she celebrates it on the last day of July for that reason. I think most people have the opposite experience, [jurist]. |

I don't have this problem, but I heard a lot of people complain about it. I like the idea for those folks who feel they get *cheated* because the major holiday overrides thier personal holiday.+
(excellent title btw!) |

Seems simpler to eliminate Christmas. |

Or, for those who insist on keeping it, make it variable so everyone has a different Christmas date. I like the idea of seeing decorations throughout the year at houses who have a Christmas underway that day. |

Ha. I absolutely love that train of thought. Good one,
tattered. |

My birthday is July 1, so this doesn't apply to me. On the other hand, my sister's birthday is also July 1 so from the age of 2 to about the age of 16 I shared my birthday, party, cake, etc. |

|
That's tough, being made to share with siblings ... |

Yeah, but she's the best birthday present ever. |

I was thinking we could have Lagrange Christmas as well,
June 25 where it would be OK to do Christmas-y stuff like
giving gifts and listening to Christmas music. |
