Kung-Fu Street Theatre

Pre-choreographed kung-fu routines performed in the street like street theatre. A typical performance could start with a little Chinese stall owner being oppressed by a cruel rich man and his laughing cronies. In leaps the honourable hero to teach them all a lesson with crane style and bad dubbing. Props such as collapsing stops, Chinese chairs and inexplicably placed weapons (blunted of course) could be supplied to enhanced the performance.

Seems relevant http://www.poe-news...ures.php?feat=31845
though probably hugely old news [calum, Oct 05 2004]

I've heard of improvised martial arts street performances, but not choreographed ones. So this pre-choreographed version seems original.

Woe is the poor sap who tries to be brave and steps in to help, only to have all the performers turn on him for using actual violence on one of their buddies... (+)

Cool, even better if a hidden vocal soundtrack is played that they mime (badly) to.

I'm an enormous fan of hong-kong kung-fu movies, I particularly like early jackie-chan (sod the plot, there never was one, never will be)

I'd come and see this if you were to actually bake it :)

With you on Jackie Chan. He could have called his movies "Jackie Chan I", "Jackie Chan II" etc. They're all well-nigh identical, and have hysterical outtakes at the end.
