Baked too, for American Express's 'smart' card. <Smarter if you don't use it.> |
It has a chip on it that contains passwords and addresses and stuff, and comes with a little widget you plug into the computer. When you want to buy something, you put your card in and it's supposed to fill out the order form itself. |

Me, they ripped me off once already, I'm not about to trust them with anything else. |

I see these all the time, though mostly behind shop counters. Some have been around long enough to look grungy and used, whatever that means. |

Hmm... sounds sorta like mysmart.com [it's a smartchip reader rather than a magstripe reader, and it's built into the mousepad rather than the keyboard]. |

Closest thing I've seen is the "Gator" download - stores all personal details for you, including credit cards, and fills in relevant boxes with a mouse-click. |
Baked also by Compaq, which has a swipe card at the top of one of its keyboards that takes smart cards. I'll see if I can find it. |
