Irriguanna
running, leaping, slithering Hose Lizard | |
This is the time of year in the Northern Hemisphere when gardens need to be frequently watered, especially lawns it seems. (I know very little about irrigation matters) This is either carried out manually or via some sort of static sprinkling apparatus, both being equally tiresome methods.
Irriguanna
solves the problem but in an efficient and entertaining manner. The device itself takes the form of small lizard-like figure having four legs and a head. The hose plugs into a stub connection where the lizard would otherwise have a tail.
When water from the hose enters the lizard's body, its pressure is used to power a complex system of hydraulic valves linked to pistons within the limbs and body. These cause the lizard to execute a variety of movements.
Mechanical dials on the belly of Irriguanna's body enable various movements to be preset, including of course one labelled "barbiturate mode". This the one that sends Irriguanna into a total spasm of leaping and slithering all over the lawn, periodically resting to accumulate pressure and deliver jets of water via its snapping mouth.
When not in use, Irriguanna can be left poking out between the foliage to deter unwelcome garden guests.

//but seems very similar to the Lawnaconda// - why not get both and let them loose at the same time? |

I forgot to mention that it can also perform
colonoscopies.... care to volunteer? Ha |

If I want to see the colonies, I can just go on Google

Lack of sufficient water pressure could result in a reptile dysfunction. |

Why is it that halfbaker's can never resist the
temptation to goanna pun-fest? |
|
|
[+] not so much for the idea as for the scope of punnage
attracted. |

I put a lot of thought into the names of that which I post
here. The original name was Hose Lizard, and I posted that
up, but on reflection decided on a combination of irrigation
and iguana. I regard word play as an integral component
when I post here, and all subsequent puns are welcome. |
