Interactive TV show

"Choose your own adventure" TV show

A google search for "interactive TV show" only returns about 3 bazillion hits. Some hits are about commercials whose outcomes are determined by viewers' online votes. Others are about 50's cartoons which encouraged children to draw on their tv screens. None are quite like this.

Each episode of the interactive TV show would start out like any other show (it would have characters and words and stuff). The differences come when the main character has to make a decision. At each of these crucial points, the action would freeze for about 10 seconds as a display appears across the bottom of the screen. Something like:

To poke the clown in the eye, go to ABC.

To offer the clown some demon-flavored pudding, go to NBC.

To become a circus preacher and learn to ride the unicycle, go to that creepy religious station.

The viewer uses his/her remote control to flip to the appropriate channel. After the ten seconds have passed, each station picks up where the story left off, but the events shown on the different stations reflect the choice made by the viewer. I'd watch it...Unless it was about something stupid.

I don't see why tv networks would ever suggest that viewers change the channel.
