Not sure whether this is already a feature or whether it's just my IM Client, but every now and then I want to use an emoticon not built in to my IM client, but by the time I've found something suitable in google and cut and paste, the spontaneity is lost.

I propose that you can enable one click smileys e.g. if you type (glass of milk) your client will go away and find an emoticon from your preferred icon source, and insert it inline.

Ah, you must have forgotten the original emoticons, from the good ol' BBS days ":-)"

Have a "~C" for the one-click tiny graphic search function.

(That would be a steaming-hot bun.)
