Inflatable lumbar pocket

For comfort and bonding

It can be very comforting for the more lordotic members of our species to have relatively large, soft objects placed in the small of their backs. Such objects include hands, hot water bottles and cushions. Other people, however, prefer not to experience cushions. Therefore, many garments should have two sealable vertical lumbar pocket openings. This would allow a companion to caress the small of the back, facilitate the insertion of a small cushion, perhaps roggy or otherwise warm, and double as a sealable, inflatable air cushion in its own right in order to prevent the discomfort experienced by many as a result of cushion absence, removing the need to buy large numbers of cushions or experience discomfort in less comfort-oriented spaces such as waiting rooms and park benches. There should also be tubes running up to the collar to enable the wearer to blow up the cushion when required. It'd also warm the kidneys.

It could double as a colostomy bag.

The collar tubes are soft and collapsible, and furthermore could be optional. You could blow up a placcy bag or something before sticking it in, or take the whole thing off and blow the pocket up, but i was thinking the tubes would be more convenient. In fact they could be like draw strings on a hoodie.

I take a blanket on airplanes just for this reason. Would be nice because it's not extra luggage.

The collar tube could double as a "relief" tube. They sell camel hump water bladders which are almost the same as your proposal. get them in camping stores ect.

[Irontoad], you make me think of Frank Herbert's stillsuit. I suppose you could fill it with urine which is processed to remove the urea. Maybe catalyse the conversion to ammonia, convert it to struvite using nigari, filter it and make it available for drinking.
