I just thought that if your on vacation, and wanted to play darts, just blow this up. Then u can enjoy a nice game of darts.

Ya, thats probably been doon though. I was thinking that maybe it could be made of some tougher matterial that wouldnt pop. but then maybe, you couldnt blow it up. I dunno.

Darts with suction cups on the tips wouldn't fly very well, would they? It would create drag and throw off the accuracy of the thing - not a big concern with the toys you mention, but very important for a competitive game.

So, don't inflate it with air -- inflate it with foam that hardens. Play away, and then when you're done, heat it to a certain temperature, and all the foam melts away, and you can roll up the dartboard for next time...

       Inflate it with Fix-a-Flat.

Seems like an awful lot of trouble to go to when a normal dartboard just isn't that cumbersome.

Maybe just make it a folding dartboard. Then you get a smaller package without all the problems inflatability would cause.

How about having something sticky on the head of the dart? You know, those wall crawling toys? You throw it against a wall and it 'crawls' down? Just get something like that and put it on the end of the dart and let it hit the inflatable board. It could work.

Actually, that sounds like a great idea for saving money... I'm sure that buying a generic slab of cork and making or buying a paper dartboard would be a heck of a lot cheaper than a real dartboard, and just as functional.

How about disposable portable dartboards? Maybe a couple of layers of corrugated cardboard with the target printed on the front and double-stick tape or magnets on the back. Maybe extra center disk areas for really good players. Get enough use out of it for one trip, then throw it away (recyclable!) to make room for the junk you buy.

How about plastic washable dartboards used with stamp-tip darts. The paint shows where you've hit, etc. Easy to take with you.
