I think you can just do this at the post office counter, but you may not want to queue up and wait so this would be a stamp machine that allows you buy a single stamp at a time.

You've been going to the wrong machines. Ours are kind enough to offer just one. |

Licked at Post Office, Stores... |

Yup...in the three or four post offices I've been in, there are single stamp machines...irritatingly, they give change in 1 cent stamps, which makes sense but isn't very useful, until they change the rate... |

Nowadays, if you tried to put enough one-centers on something to mail it, it'd get blown up and set on fire as a potential anthrax carrier. |

I think he just blew up on his own. |

I'm just wondering if all of you people are American, coz I've never seen a singular stamp machine in England. |

Kaz, they used to have them in Australia, but got scrapped because the cost of repairing them outweighed the profits ('convenience to the public' was costed in at ZERO as always). On one famous occasion, a MISPRINTED ROLL was inserted in one!! wish I'd been there to see the person who noticed & then desperately tried to get them all (stamps are the only things where if it is defective, it is worth thousands of times as much). |

For a very small business or just seasonal mail. How about a credit card activated stamp machine at convenient locations?? Doesn't have to be an actual stamp. Just a imprint. Monthly cost to rent a stamp machine for individual or small business is very expensive ($30.00 CDN) in Canada. |
