Improved Spelling
The word processor keeps track of your most commonly misspelled words. | |
I struggle with my spelling and would love to be able to keep track of the words that I habitually misspell - There should be a feature in standard word-processing packages that can generate a report of the user's most commonly misspelt words.

I'm tending towards favouring a spell-checker that tells you which words you've mis-spelled, but doesn't offer any corrections ("BZZZ!! You got this one wrong! Go look it up."). It can stop you making a fool of your elf, but it encourages you to learn. |

I won't vote for it , you're cheating, ganging up like this behind people's backs, I'm telling! |

There is a "learn to touch type" type of a programme (TypingMaster ProTrainer (link added)). It monitors everything you type into your computer, and remembers all misspellings. (It does give you the option to disable it for certain programmes. You wouldn't want it to track everything you type into a game, for example. Or a chat.) It not only lists them in order of frequency, but also lets you practice on texts consisting only of those words. Which can yield pretty interesting texts. |
