I used to ice skate on a track made on the uneven ground of a park. The bumps, inclines and low hills were great fun. |
The problem with an ice skateboard is that usually when you are doing skateboard tricks you flip the board around. Would you want four razor sharp blades fliping around under your feet while you jump ?? |
I think it wouldn't be too hard to engineer a blade edge-guards that yield when weight is upon the board but protect when the board is airborne. |
Also, "razor sharp" is a bit dramatic, dontcha' think? |
dramtic,,,, yes........but any spinning metal blade would gouge your leg more than a wooden board. |
Like any "extreme" sport, I expect participants to wear appropriate attire and for this idea that means clothing that resists ice skate edges in addition to falls, etc. |

I have thought before that figure skaters could
incorporate a guard rail grind into their routine. |

When I read the title, I thought this was going to be something different (link). |
