I Don't Want to Impose

But, who wouldn't want to superimpose?

The scientists mentioned in the below link have proposed an experiment where lasers can be used to drive a common cold virus into a quantum state of superimposition.

The key to the experiment is that the critter be able to survive in vacuum and be relatively small enough for the laser -- thus, the scientists have proposed that a waterbear might be an amenable subject as well.

With 200,000 applicants for the one way Mars Mission, one would think we can find a few volunteers to wear a space suit, and subject themselves to a slightly more powerful laser: say the bright one that can shoot an ICBM out of the sky. This is bound to be a would be a much more fun experiment, and have the additional advantage of not creating a common cold bug with quantum super powers.

I'd volunteer immediately. If I could be put into a state of quantum superposition, I'd be beside myself.
