Hey! Walkers! Green is the colour for cheese & onion
crisps, not salt & vinegar!

[+] tackling one of the great issues of our time. |
I have a friend who used to be a flavour technologist for
Walker's in Thurmaston. I quite like the fact they use
different colours although it is confusing. There are even
people who believe they have entered a parallel universe
because Walkers are not the usual colour. I kid you not. |
Hmmm .... different people use different indicators for that phenom, I guess. |
One of mine is when a book that I've read a dozen times and the two protagonists never had sex, and then one time I read it and they did. That was a shocker. |
Well, you couldn't expect them to wait forever. |
// I have a friend who used to be a flavour technologist for Walker's in Thurmaston. // |
Well, that's a lie, for a start. |
As to the idea, why not use the E24 resistor colour codes ? |
The obvious solution is to eliminate cheese & onion crisps from existence. |
Different brands will have different intensities of flavour, so an equivalent of the Scoville scale <link> is necessary - hence the E24 model. |
[hippo] you are completely correct but a little bit behind the curve (see link). Unless democracy is flawed. Oh, hang on, wait a minute let me think this through. |
All right I have the conclusion- the mob is correct for once. |
//Well, that's a lie, for a start. // Out of interest, why? |
[nineteenthly] doesn't have any friends. |
What colors are appropriate for cucumber, or grape? Vanilla? It'll never end. |
Given the difficulty in choosing colours, perhaps a compromise could be reached by arranging different colours in such a way as to "spell" the name of the flavour on the actual packet. |
Perhaps we should take inspiration from the British tobacco
industry. |
Imprison some susceptible individuals and force-feed them
crisps until they develop serious pathologies. Take full-colour,
high resolution photographs and use them on the packets. |
Repeat whenever a new flavour is invented. |
// Imprison some susceptible individuals and force-feed them crisps until they develop serious pathologies. // |
Please clarify why it seems necessary to "imprison" the testers. |
A small sign in an obscure back street that reads "Free crisps, all you can eat ! " will no doubt garner a slavering mob of ravening fatties within minutes. |
Yes, you're going to need searchlights, razor wire, armed guards and trained dogs ... but that will be to keep people out, not in. |
What will you do with the volunteer testers after they burst (which they shirley will) ? |
"An overwhelming 72% of people said that red was the appropriate colour for ready salted. " |
Eh ? What do you do for ketchup ? |
