Human Zoo
Observe the humans and their mindless recreations | |
Build a zoo, get human volunteers to live there indefinitely.
People will come to visit the zoo, and pay good money, mainly for entertainment purposes but also for scientific research purposes. Sociology and Psychology students may find a visit particularly rewarding. Everyone else will no doubt
be engrossed with the irony of humans observing other humans in the way that a superior species normally observes a subspecies.
Unemployed and homeless people are especially welcome to spend time in the zoo. Yes it is like being emprisoned (there will be metal bars and stuff) but volunteers do have the right to be released back into the community at any time they so wish.

Yeah, you should have different enclosures for different types of human though. e.g. accountants in one, thespians in another, builders, drunks, new age travelers, teachers, small children, computer programmers, porn actors, unemployed people, students (same thing really), philosophy lecturers. and so on and so on... |

Baked. Big Brother et al. |
|
|
Baked - you think we're not in one already? |
|

Big Brother is reality TV, whereas there is no media aspect to this idea. There are no cameras, only people to stare in real-time. Big Brother is a gameshow that features 'contestants' trying to win something - and become famous. Here there is no such circus, its just a plain old zoo with a twist, no animals just ordinary human beings. A place you go out to and pay for rather than watch on your TV at home. Take your family and a picnic along with you! Amuse yourself at the dear homo sapiens playing football or chess or simply surfing the net. |

[Xen] Um - such as a park, you mean, or an internet cafe? |

Visitors to the halfbakers paddock would simply shake their heads and sigh. |

|
Will the metal bars be there to protect the visitors, or the residents ? |

I've been to zoos which have children's play areas in a parody of a zoo cage arrangement, so you can watch the little monkeys (kids (human young)) play in a similar manner to other animals. Sadly, I can't remember where this was. |

A limit on this as a source of entertainment is that you can often do this for free in the street, in public places, etc. You would have to provide something of significantly more interest to make it better than sitting in a pavement cafe or a bar window watching people go past. |
