Hubcap reconciliation service

It's common to see lonely hubcaps placed by the roadside at junctions or curves, hopefully awaiting the return of their former owner. And these things aren't exactly cheap ...

Purchasing alloy rims is one answer, but alloys have problems of their own.

The simple solution, which oddly very few motorists seem to bother with, is to attach a durable label to the inside reading "REWARD FOR RETURN, CALL ...." and a telephone number.

Failing that, those arriving at their destination minus a wheeltrim can, for a small fee, place their details on BorgCo's new WheresMyHubcap website, giving date, time, vehicle make, and approximate location of loss.

Those finding hubcaps can register their find for free, and receive a small payment from the claimant if a successful reunion is effected.

If this should become a thing we might, upon visiting our vehicles, discover that some enterprising individual has removed all the hubcaps and is holding them for ransom. +

This would be a boon for participants in 1970's Hollywood movie car chases in which a single car might lose dozens of hubcaps during a single high-speed pursuit.

That would surely depend on whether it's a hubcap-losing pursuit, or a driving-into -cardboard-boxes pursuit?
