Our house is full of stuff and needs to be de-cluttered. I propose a cunning
arrangement of strain gauges to allow the weight of the house to be determined. As
stuff comes and goes, the weight changes. Lovely graphs will be drawn showing
the trend since day-to-day activities like doing a poo, having
a bath, or hosting a
dinner party will cause variations and will need to be smoothed away.
Over time, this will give an incentive to re-use or re-cycle rather than buy something
that will get used once and then stored.

I think you missed out some contextual joining words there, [calum] |

You could have a once-a-month "free house sale" where you open the doors and allow the general public in to take whatever they want. Over time, this will mean that only complete junk is left that no-one wants; and then you can just throw out everything without needing to wonder if it is worth keeping. |

approved...... my gauge would be permanently in the red zone. |

As long as there's a place to keep extra strain gauges. |

Three word summaries are great and have a corresponding 3 metre

get is flush.smooth.store which is in China. See link. |

I was imagining large, rounded roof shingles to make the
house look like a giant fish. |

I've chosen to take another route, the ever extending utility
room & patio, I simply placed the far wall of both on
extendable rails, as more space is required we crank a handle
to move the far wall out another couple of feet & fill in the
resulting gap between it & the adjoining walls with a few
more
bricks, the garden is getting a bit small these days though. |
