HotCold Food
new food category and packaging to make it real | |
i like apple pie cold and brownies hot
a hot brownie with a thin layer of ice cold apple pie on top would make an excellent dessert
any combination of two foods that are perfect together when one is served hot and one is served cold could apply here like hot turkey and ice cold cranberry sauce
this
is how it works
food package with two compartments
one side keeps the food, or makes it hot thinking along the lines of chemical sock or glove warmers
the other compartment keeps the food cold
thinking that liquid nitrogen filling could work for this side
when you tear the package open the contents fall out in sequence so that the cold item lands on top of the hot food item thus making the appropriate combination

Anyone remember the McDLT? |
The problem with using hand warmers for packaging is that
they only give off heat for ~7 hours. |
Hmmm. (+) If a small rechargable battery operated compressor could turn one portion of a picnic cooler into a fridge for a few hours, the waste heat could keep another portion warm. |
Can't see it working in a pouch though. |
A battery pack, a peltier, and a styrofoam container could do it. |
Sounds like a recipe for getting sued, once some idiot mixes the glove warmer with the turkey. |
next up: edible Peltier's. |
