People paying attention to their texting-device sometimes step off curbs or crash into walls unexpectedly while walking. This device simply takes a live image from the cell phone's camera, and makes it the background image moving behind the text. Then you'll see that open manhole before you step.

       Good idea.

The fact that I don't understand _texting_ from a _telephone_ with a perfectly good speaker and microphone setup does not make this a bad idea.

Apparently some people really would rather thumb their way through elaborate typing mechanisms using six buttons in esoteric combinations, taking twelve and a half minutes to form a three-word message than just call and say it. So, OK.

Texting is good for private conversations. Good for loud places too, where you can't hear. But most of the time I want to slap the phone out of peoples hands. With the "chocolate" slide phone, you can smack the top mid text and it will close and erase the text. Hah.

I'd hate for this to be stopped before I get a chance to witness it.

Well, then, [phundug], maybe you should look up ;)

Bring back? It never left! I use it every day.

This kind of phone needs a proximity sensor (vibration?) for when you hold it too close to your face.
