I've heard the main reason people get hangovers is dehydration. So I propose a beer laced with Gatorade type minerals, as well as little water crystals to rehydrate you slowly as you sleep. By the time you wake up your feeling fresh and ready for the day.

I admit this is more of a dream than an idea, but just imagine!

       Eh ?

       Ice ?

The other cause of hangovers is complex organic chemicals called congeners which aren't present in "pure" drinks like vodkas.

You think I don't know your a member of the Vodka Industry Appreciation group involved in surreptitious marketing activities?

HA! I've got you all figured out...

Not ice. I was thinking of those little gel things you put in the garden to aid water retention. Not sure if you can eat them though.

damn, must be what I add to the vodka that gives me a hangover then. heh, probably the polyacrylamide I used when I had no ice.

       5 % ?

[21], your problem is that you haven't looked up a good source of 10 % + Imperial India Pale Ale.

Update - Ah, one of the infamous " [21Quest] annotations are all gone" opportunities.

In the missing anno, [21] was holding forth on what he considered to be a fair Federal tax rate for all citizens.

       Hardstuff... Ether?

I heard they actually put stuff in liquor to ensure you can't drink too much of it. i.e. you get more sick than you actually would without the additives... Leading to heaving and a concomitant avoidance of a comatose state. I presume these additives also contribute to 'hangover'. Cigarettes do, too.

The mythology of what causes hangovers would fill a book. Nobody wants to believe it's alcohol.
