This is a clothes hanger with 20 "beads" on it labeled "1" to "20". Similar to the scoring system on an old-time pool table, you slide a bead from one side of the wire to the other side every time you wear the article.

Then you know when to wash it. You are also forewarned so you don't suddenly have to throw 10 shirts into the laundry all on the same day, and end up left with no clean ones.

(P.S. it goes up to 20, but fastidious people don't need to wait that long, obviously!)

       Jeans, maybe three times. Everything else, once. Except for a sturdy pair of short|s (pants) which only get worn while 'baking. Those I'll wear for a week.

       Good idea, but update it. Benetton got into a media relations problem with this idea, but it would work for you at home - put a chip into the clothes, and a scanning device in the closet. It could automatically keep track of how often the item went into and out of the closet.   

       It could then email your cleaner, and they could come pick up the clothes when they needed to be washed.

       This would also help all that fashion-concerned people who care a lot about not being seen wearing the same clothes very often.   

       With this they'd have a quick visual aid to konw what to avoid when they're picking their outfit for the day.
