A new category; Either Halfbakery:April Fool or Halfbakery:Seasonal:April Fool.
A repository for ideas that are April Fool jokes, but initially posted in other categories in order to elicit laughter, puzzlement, or outrage.
The true intent of the originator can be thus demonstrated once the requisite
number of annotators have burst a blood vessel from fury and frustration.

I once told my daughter, (age 5ish), that I was getting her a
horse, as an April Fools joke. She didn't speak to me for a
month. I've never seen her so mad. Backfire...bigtime! |
That's the wrong direction to joke in. If they're going to be disappointed you have to tell them something disappointing as the joke. |
There's not much that's more disappointing than having a horse foisted on you. Worse even than a kitten, because horses are way too big to flush. |
[bliss], did you tell her "I'm getting you a horse as an April
Fool's joke", or did you tell her "I'm getting you a horse", as an
April Fool's joke? If the latter, I can sort of see her point. But
it's impressive that she held on to that for a month. |

Ah, yes.
The french sewers are infamously often backed up by
chat-bergs. |
Cat Burgers [Loris]? Holy crap. And MB, the former, not the
latter. |
On reflection that should probably be " laughter, puzzlement, and outrage." |
They do not appear to be mutually exclusive options. |
Can you point to a few ideas which would form this category? |
Not until the 2nd of April. |
Now, what possible reason could you have for concern ? We supplied a perfectly reasonable and civil answer to a simple, direct question ... nothing to worry about there, shirley ? |
You can't possibly infer the existence of some sort of sinister trap on the basis of such flimsy evidence ... |

In the UK, sewers sometimes get clogged with fat-bergs,
downstream of greasy takeaways. Is what I was thinking. |
Don't worry, [Loris], global warming will fix that problem. The sewage will be hot enough to stop the lipids solidifying; they will collect on the surface and can be harvested as a fuel source. |
They can either be burnt directly, or converted to biodiesel. What's not to like? |
