For a few thousand dollars any webmaster in any country can
buy the Halfbakery website and easily localise it. Just by the
license, Jutta installs the software on a server somewhere.
The webmaster has to translate a list of words which are then
incorporated in the design. This would be great
for people
who have difficulty with writing in English. Let's start with a
German version. Anyone interested? Mail jutta.

Because under this scheme, it appears that *you* will take
care of installing the software on a server somewhere. No
effort necessary on the part of the Webmaster. I think I'll
email you and get my Halfbakery in a Box today! |
|

I have some friends in the Nanggikorongo tribe in the Northern Territory in Australia. How long do you think I should tell them to wait before they might expect a box full of halfbakery in grammatically correct Nanggikorongo to arrive? |
|
|
[rrrddsnl], I assume you meant to say, 'of a good concept'? |
|
|
Well, not to mention that Slash and Scoop don't do what the Halfbakery engine does, and vice versa. Rolling-list-of-stories-with-comments engines are a dime a dozen, likewise e-commerce catalog engines; I haven't seen anything else in conveniently packaged form. |

Fie on these feeble imitations of the One True Halfbakery! Fie, I say! |
|
|
Yes, it's for those webmasters (in need of a good
concept) that are not smart enough to learn all this great
open source magic. They rather give jutta a few thousand
$ and a login with root priviliges on their machine. |

No, of course there will always be only one halfbakery.
But to have one in French, Dutch, Danish, German, etc.
would be nice. When we are talking about fridge magnets,
there are huge cultural differences between countries!
Some people might not never have seen one for real. Let
alone a pizza-shaped one. |

I wonder, what is 'goldmine' in Nanggikorongo? |
