The word "How?" springs to mind at this point.

Halfbakery idea generator wizard

Acessible via a link in the meta file, a program that takes simple inputs from the user and produces an "idea" from it.

The user enters a keyword, such as "airship" and a qualifier, such as "clarinet". They then choose from several pages of random words extracted from other HB ideas containing the same keywords.

After a final choice of formatting options (Captalisation, punctuation, paragraph breaks, ALL UPPERCASE, random spelling and smileys), the wizard creates the body text, and posts it in other:[general].

I'm not sure if the stimulus is/was the same - but here's my take on one such algorithm. [zen_tom, Sep 12 2014]

       A halfbaker bot?

No, it's not fully automated; it still requires input from a human being, if not necessarily a human intellect.

       Markov text generator?

Would be quite interesting if you could tell it to fetch "All ideas from [author]" and/or "all comments by [author]" and similar, for source material.

Oh. I thought this was already going on. You mean this is a new idea?

       Fully manual version linked.
normzone, Sep 11 2014

Not new, exactly; more a way of formalizing a long-standing idea.

A python/perl/javasscript script should be capable of whipping up such nonsense, I'm all for it - and I think the title part is perfectly doable (see link). Some method of text/idea generation should also be doable, I think.

Yes, that's the scary part …

I have just written a simple program which uses a list of nouns, verbs and adjectives culled from HB titles.

A quick sample of the output includes:
Inflatable towing shower
Faster rotating bees
Disposable scanning autogyro
and
Shapely stirring paper.

       Awww, Ref ! Unfair !

According to The Little Book of Mornington Crescent, you can only play Mornington Crescent as your first move if (a) the player on your left to whom the next move would pass is taller than you are, (b) the Chairman has declared that Spon's Retroactive Exclusion Amendment has been waived, and (c) The shuttle service to Kensington Olympia is running between 1000 and 1600 on a weekday for reasons other than a major exhibition (The shuttle to Earl's Court and High Street Kensington runs at weekends and during major exhibitions on weekdays. A very limited service also operates during the early morning and evening each weekday. There is no service New Year's Eve or New Year's Day when these days fall on or partly on a weekend. For a period before December 2011 the District line had an irregular short shuttle service of two or three trains per hour to High Street Kensington via Earl's Court. One late evening train ran daily to Upminster), or (d) you have just passed the Chairman a brown envelope containing a minimum of £35 in used fivers under the table), or (e) you are Dr Graeme Garden.

       //
Diagonal revolving escalator
Accessible advertising soap
Alcoholic callousing mice.

Two of those three titles are disturbingly possible. Which two is left as an exercise for the reader.
