A 'sort-of' mailbox which will allow Halfbakers to communicate privately between each other, for instance, this would give me the opportunity to apologize to 21 Quest for auto-boning each and every one of his ideas for no reason and tell him I'm taking them back. :-)

halfbakers and communicate? now there's two words that you wouldn't predict in any one sentence.

To allow other people to communicate with you privately, mention your email address in your profile.

To communicate with other people privately, examine their profile (click on their name under something they wrote). For example, if you were to read 21 Quest's profile, you would, once you proceed past the confessions of enigmatic incommunicadoness, soon encounter such an email address, which would allow you to use commonplace Internet email tools to send messages and quite possibly receive replies, all without me lifting a finger!

Alternatively, annotate your ideas with pictures of you holding up semaphore flags that, when read in order of date of annotation, spell out words.

I used to find that telepathy worked well for this sort of thing but, since people started wearing those tin foil hats, it's all got a bit unreliable these days.
