An orrery, including an asteroid belt, which exists either as a digital emulation, a metaphor, or an intricate confection of polished brass, varnshed mahogany, steel, glass and ebony, with a Watts governor on top.
Or possibly all of the above.
Bakers are represented as spheres of various sizes
at different distances from the Sun, represented by an illuminated golden sphere bearing a poitrait of She Who Must Be Obeyed.
The size of a hafbaker's "planet" is determined by a formula based on the number of ideas posted.
The distance from the centre is determined by their popularity (bun/bone).
Not all the "planets" will be in the plane of the ecliptic, and some will have highly eccentric orbits.
Some "planets" will be small, hard, cold and unwelcoming. Some will be warm with a pleasant atmosphere. Some will be Gas Giants (you know who you are).
(We were sure this idea existed but cannot locate it, if found this version will be deleted).

Yes, but who wants to be Uranus ? |

I think you are thinking of this one. [link] From your buddy [MikeD] |

I kinda feel like making this, though I have only a faint idea
how. |

Regarding the prior art: That one, while also nice,
analogizes Halfbakers to real-life planets, while this one
generates a new solar system based only on Halfbakers.
Therefore I think this one is a novel idea and should not be
deleted based on that prior art alone. |

Certainly. I just think it might be the posting they are referring to. |
